Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Shloka is a daily Bhagavad Gita reflection app. It is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data.
Data we collect
None. Shloka has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We never see who you are or how you use the app.
Data stored on your device
Your settings and in-app state (for example, whether you have dismissed the widget setup card or enabled notifications) are stored locally on your device only. They are never transmitted to us or anyone else, and they are deleted when you delete the app.
Notifications
If you choose to enable the daily notification, it is scheduled locally on your device by iOS. No notification data leaves your device, and you can turn notifications off at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Recitation audio
The app’s one networked feature is streaming Sanskrit recitation audio. When you tap play on a verse, your device requests that audio file from a content server operated by JKYog (jkyog.org), which — like any web server — receives your IP address in order to deliver the file. Shloka does not send any other information with the request, and we ourselves receive nothing. Everything else in the app works fully offline.
Children
Shloka does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new “last updated” date. Because the app collects no data, changes are unlikely.
